David Brookes, Principal
As a second generation construction contractor, David has forged a solid reputation for utmost integrity, reliability and uncompromising professionalism in providing high-end, custom homes and estates throughout Massachusetts. David has completed numerous custom homes and remodels throughout the past 25 years. After residing on Nantucket Island for 10 years, and most recently in Lexington, Mass. for the past seven years, David’s project experience is diverse in scope as well as size.
Whatever the project, David prides himself on consistently delivering both quality and value without compromising his personal approach to project management. As both Principal and Project Manager at Brookes + Hill, David is involved throughout the project lifecycle with clients, architects, designers and trade professionals alike to monitor progress, implement creative solutions, and ensure a best-in-class team that transforms a client’s vision into a successful finished product.
David understands the considerable trust and responsibility that every client places in him when building a home, and considers it a true privilege when chosen to be a part of the process. David resides with his wife and three children in Lexington, Mass. and is an active member in the local community.
David is a licensed Massachusetts Construction Supervisor and maintains a membership in the Builders Association of Boston (BAGB) as well as the Boston Society of Architects (BSA).
Eric Hill, Principal
Eric holds more than 18 years of diverse project management experience within the construction and home improvement industry. He has successfully managed a variety of high-end, custom home building and renovation projects – ranging from 1,500 to 20,000 SF in size. Prior to founding Brookes & Hill, Eric was employed for 6+ years at Kenneth Vona Construction, where he successfully rose through the ranks serving as project manager, senior project manager, and most recently as head of KVC’s millwork division.
As Project Manager and Principal at Brookes + Hill, Eric immerses himself in all aspects of the project, partnering with the architects and designers, and skillfully managing subcontractors to deliver quality, timely results without sacrificing any value on the part of the homeowner. Eric takes immense pride in his straightforward and honest approach in participating and working with other project team members throughout the project lifecycle – from the preliminary contract and pricing - to post move-in.
Throughout his career, Eric has carefully fostered long-standing relationships with many respected architects, interior designers, engineers, and trade professionals to deliver quality craftsmanship. He enjoys creating beautiful homes for homeowners across New England with utmost integrity and commitment.
Eric attended the University of New Hampshire and is a licensed Massachusetts Construction Supervisor. He also is an active member of the Builders Association of Boston (BAGB) and the Boston Society of Architects (BSA). Eric resides with his wife and three children in Ashland, Mass. and is an active participant in his local community.
Jack Aruda, Project Supervisor
Jack graduated from Northeast Metro Vocational High School in 1980 and shortly thereafter started his own remodeling business concentrating on roofing, siding and additions. Ten years later, Jack expanded his skill set into interior finish carpentry, gaining experience on many high end Boston Area homes. He continued this work at the Classic Group where he was employed as a Site Supervisor for 12 years. Jack has built a reputation with many local subcontractors as someone they enjoy working with. He takes pride in his work and enjoys making clients happy.
Mike Harriman, Project Manager
David Magee, Project Manager/Estimator
David grew up in a family owned high end residential construction company gaining over 20 years experience in the industry.
He has spent the last 10 years as project manager working on some of the finest estates and homes in the area. He has managed all phases of these projects including pre-planning, estimating and construction. During his projects he excels in problem solving, attention to detail and communication. David enjoys working as a team with clients, architects, designers and sub-contractors. He takes pride in every project striving to deliver the clients dreams and exceed their highest expectations.
He earned a BA in construction management attending Wentworth Institute of Technology and Fitchburg State College. He holds a Massachusetts construction supervisors license since the age of 19. Safety Course, OSHA and CPR Certifications
Mike Maillet, Project Supervisor
Mike offers over twenty years of experience in the framing and remodeling industry. His passion for the industry began as a teenager when he would spend summers working as a framer for his stepfather. After learning all he could from his family business, Mike started his own construction company. For the next fourteen years, he earned a reputation as a meticulous, detail oriented and honest framer. Those qualities also made him a natural for more complex projects as he expanded into custom remodeling on high end homes, catching the attention of the Classic Group. He worked in collaboration with a loyal following of custom home builders on many premium remodeling projects. Always driven to improve himself and the quality of his work, Mike enjoys attending seminars and classes in the industry. He holds licenses from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Home Improvement Contractor, a Construction Supervisor and a Hoisting Engineer. He also holds a certificate as a Lead- Safe Renovator Supervisor.
Leana Porter, Project Manager
Leana brings more than 15 years of experience in residential design and construction. The combination of her design and project management experience brings a unique set of skills to the project team. She is motivated by a keen sense for architectural esthetics, high quality interior finishes and good design. Leana’s passion for the process lies in building strong relationships with clients and the project team as the foundation for seeing the project through to the finest detail.
Leana earned a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1991, and holds a professional certificate in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology. She is NCIDQ certified and a professional member of IIDANE. Leana has also been a volunteer faculty member at the Boston Architectural College since 2005.
Richie Roberts, Senior Project Supervisor
Richie’s experience is vast and his commitment to excellence is transparent. With over 35 years in the trade to his credit Richie has worked with some of the most prominent New England residential architects including, Shope Reno Wharton Architects, Mellowes & Paladino and Jeremiah Eck to name a few. Completed projects to his credit have ranged from smaller renovations up to a 30 million dollar custom home. Additionally, Richie has had unique historic building experience. He was responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Porter House renovations, with the distinction of being the oldest standing structure in Boston’s South End.
As a professional Richie has a long list of credentials including: Commonwealth of Massachusetts Construction Supervisors License, HIC License, City of Boston Class B License, USACE Safety Course Certification, OSHA Certification. Educational credentials include: Building Inspector Course Study and Construction Management Curriculum at University of Southern California, Construction Management at Northeastern University.
